![]() "We have the Peashooter which is kind of our infantry styled character, the Sunflower-very familiar, a sort of a healer class for the plant team, we have the Cactus who's sort of our long range specialist-sniper if you will and then The Chomper who's a really interesting mix of close range melee." "On the plant side we've taken a lot of the original characters from the original Plants vs. A new Q&A with producer Brian Lindley sheds a little more light on the how the playable plants and zombies will balance out against each other. Plants vs.We got a brief glimpse of the classes in Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare during the trailer for the Xbox One exclusive Boss Mode. Oddly, In the ability icon he smiles normally, but in-game he smiles same as Sombrero Bean Bomb shown in the ability icon.In Battle for Neighborville, the Peashooter will make a sound similar to Commando Pea's reload sound when using the ability. Before the Zomboss Down DLC, it did not release sparks when it was launched alongside its alternate ability, making them more dangerous. It is also similar to the Monkey Bomb from the Zombies gamemode from Call of Duty: Black Ops.The zombies running towards it and being caught in the explosion makes it similar to the pipe bomb from Left 4 Dead."Bomb of Farter Bean"Įnglish name transliterated into Japanese Please note that only official translations are used. The Chili Bean Bomb's explosion In other languages In addition, you can use Energy Warp to push away the Chili Bombs from your allies to save them. Movement abilities like Rocket Leap or Energy Warp help you get away from this fast. ![]() If you can react fast enough, you can easily get away from the Chili Bomb. In fact, a Chili Bean Bomb activated during the last few seconds of the round timer can even win you the game! Remember that activating it almost guarantees that every Zombie nearby will have to flee, meaning you can stop them from capturing objectives. When activating it, don't use it with the intention of vanquishing your enemies, but instead creating space and denying area. Even if you aren't vanquishing your enemies, you are forcing them to scatter, and that becomes the Chili Bean Bomb's new purpose. The one upside to these changes is that people still see the Chili Bean Bomb as a threat. When a Zombie sees your very loud, very flashy, and very hard-to-miss chili explosive, they can simply sprint away to escape danger, making this ability end up feeling fairly useless sometimes. On top of the Chili Bean Bomb having an inconsistent blast radius, Battle for Neighborville also introduces sprinting, which makes it even more difficult to catch Zombies in the explosion. It is highly advised to not depend on your Chili Bean Bomb as heavily, as the inconsistency of its blast radius means its a much more risky option that doesn't always do what it wants you to. Sometimes the radius is larger than you expected, sometimes smaller. The Chili Bean Bomb's blast radius has been changed in Battle for Neighborville, and now, catching Zombies in it is far less consistent. But, there is one change that ends up making this ability less reliable: its blast radius. You should sneak up on the zombies and then place it quickly so they don't see it and so they will all be vanquished.ĭue to the Bean Bomb functioning nearly identically in this game as it has in the Garden Warfare series, most of the same tips apply. Overall, it should generally be used when there is a large group of zombies, most preferably capturing the garden. The only difference is that zombies are required to stay within the zone, and may not even notice the bomb be vanquished in the flurry of chaos trying to defend the base. It can be used in Herbal Assault in a similar fashion as it is in Gardens & Graveyards. ![]() The Bean Bomb is much more effective in this game. The Chili Bean Bomb is very good for defense in Gardens & Graveyards, as it will either vanquish the zombies or force them to retreat. In case the player is about to be vanquished and unlikely to be revived, they can toss the Chili Bean Bomb as a last-ditch effort. This will give you a multi-kill very easily and will give you many coins. This ability is very effective in Garden Ops, since all the zombies near it will approach it while it explodes. Use this to your advantage by using Hyper, running, or jumping towards the zombies spawns and/or teleporters, then jumping towards the nearest rooftop and escaping, getting easy vanquished, and allowing an easy getaway.Ĭhili Bean Bombs can also bounce off walls. Using Hyper before running and jumping causes a significant increase in distance compared to running and jumping without Hyper. Running and jumping makes the Chili Bean Bomb launch farther, allowing you to stay far back while launching far enough to reach those pesky zombies. Vanquishing an enemy with the Chili Bean Bomb speeds up its cooldown time by 3 seconds.
